Campus Safety in Focus: Advances and Ongoing Challenges One Year Later

Marking the one-year anniversary of the fatal shootings at Virginia Tech, public safety professionals explore progress and continuing questions related to campus security in a conference set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 18, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall at Princeton University. The event, titled “Campus Safety in Focus: Advances and Ongoing Challenges One Year Later,” will feature the release of a “Blueprint for Safer Campuses” by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). Steven Healy, Princeton’s director of public safety and immediate past president of IACLEA, was joined in the presentation by Gary Margolis, chief of police at the University of Vermont.  Mr. Healy and Dr. Margolis were the report’s lead authors.
